ジャパンスーパークォーツ株式会社は1983年英国石英ガラスメーカーとのジョイントベンチャーとして発足。その後、三菱マテリアルクォーツ社を経て2002年、現在のジャパンスーパークォーツ株式会社(略称：JSQ)となりました。

われわれが製造するのは、高純度石英ルツボ。半導体デバイスの出発点となるシリコン単結晶を製造する際に使用される石英ガラス容器です。

JSQでは、半導体産業の成長に合わせてクリーンで近代的な工場設備を充実させ、現在では、幅広い範囲の高純度石英ルツボを製造し、世界のトップクラスのシェアを誇るにまで成長しました。

また、秋田県に本社を置く優良企業として、2004年には「県内法人申告所得ランキング」1位を獲得、その後も確実な成長を続けています。

Japan Super Quartz Corporation was originally established as a joint venture between Mitsubishi Metal Corporation and a British quartz glass company in 1983. After the age of Mitsubishi Materials Quartz Corporation, it became Japan Super Quartz Corporation in 2002. We deliver high-purity quartz crucibles used for manufacturing single crystal silicon that is the starting point for producing semiconductor devices. JSQ have been investing in clean and modern plant facilities corresponding to the growth of semiconductor industry. JSQ have grown to have gained the world top class market share through the manufacture of a wide range of high-purity quartz crucibles. In 2004, JSQ was acclaimed as the top company in Akita prefecture in the field of declared income ranking. We still continues to grow steadily.

エレクトロニクス産業の根幹ともいえる半導体デバイスは、シリコン単結晶を薄くスライスして出来るシリコンウエーハの上に微細な電子回路を形成して作られています。
シリコン単結晶は、様々なエレクトロニクス製品に使われる半導体デバイスの出発点となる重要な材料と言えます。このシリコン単結晶は、ポリシリコンとも呼ばれる高純度多結晶シリコンを石英ルツボに充填し、引き上げ機の中で、およそ1500度に加熱・溶融して育成されます。
つまり石英ルツボはシリコン単結晶を作る過程において、溶融シリコンを高純度に保持する最適な容器なのです。

What are quartz crucibles?

Semiconductor devices, which form the basis of electronics industry are made with microscopic electronic circuits on silicon wafers which are sliced from a single crystal silicon ingot.
Single crystal silicon is the important element which is used for manufacturing a wide range of electronics products. It is made from high-purity polycrystalline silicon, also called as poly-silicon, at a temperature of approximately 1,500℃ filling up the quartz crucible in a single crystal puller.
So the quartz crucible is a suitable crucible to keep molten silicon at high purity level at the manufacturing process of single crystal silicon.

石英ルツボは、回転しているモールドの中で原料石英粉末をアーク溶融して製造されます。
石英ルツボの品質には、アーク溶融におけるパラメーターの制御がたいへん重要となります。

Arc fusion

The quartz crucibles are produced from quartz powder which is heated and fused with arc heat in the rotating mold.
It is very important to control parameters in order to keep the highest quality of the quartz crucibles.

JSQでは、最高品質の石英原料粉を使い、また必要に応じて独自の高純度化技術を駆使して、高純度石英粉を安定的に確保しています。そしてクリーンな環境に設置されたルツボ溶融炉、加工設備で、石英ルツボを製造しています。
できあがった石英ルツボは、クリーンルーム内で全数、外観、寸法、内面の汚れ、気泡などを厳密に検査し、合格したルツボだけを洗浄、シール、包装し、データシートを添付して出荷します。

Employing advanced technology to create high-purity quartz crucibles

JSQ uses quartz powder of the highest quality, and employs exceptional purification technology of its own to maintain a stable supply of high-purity quartz powder.
The quartz crucibles are produced in the manufacturing furnaces placed in a clean environment.
All the quarts crucible produced are rigorously inspected to ensure the conformance to the highest standards for exterior appearances, dimensions, contaminants on inner surfaces, and to make sure that there are no bubbles. Only those crucibles that pass this inspection are sealed in the clean room, affixed with data sheets, and shipped to each destination.

JSQの石英ルツボは、気泡をほとんど含まない内面透明層と微気泡を多く含む外面気泡層の二重構造を持ち、シリコン単結晶の引き上げ性能向上に役立っています。また、超高純度の合成石英原料を内面層に使用した二層構造石英ルツボも合成石英ルツボとして製品化しています。

Quality creating the ultimate in technology

JSQ's quartz crucibles are manufactured with a double structure comprised of an inner transparent layer with very few bubbles and an outer bubble layer with many micro bubbles which help improve the pulling performance of single crystal silicon. Further, quartz crucibles with a two-layered structure using synthetic quartz powder of exceptional purity for the inner layer are commercialized as synthetic quartz crucibles.
